Battlestar: Theseus -- Fan Art

Back in April 2018 we entered a Unity contest to pitch a game concept to Universal Studios using their IP Battlestar Galactica. I grew up watching the original series, and I loved the new one, so much. So when I saw that opportunity I grabbed some friends, and we dove in.

22 days later we released this.

We lost. Never even got any feedback on it. But, I deeply enjoyed making it. Maybe someday we can do Shadow Star, which we based this pitch on, and people will be as excited to work on SS as they were to try BSG, a property they know.

I'm excited for the day we can draw a crowd on name alone, and never touch another IP that's not ours again.

Cylon was originally a Turbosquid purchase, but it was obnoxious highpoly and had many mirrored and flipped faces on several UV shells. I re-topologized it, fixed faces, merged UVs to one sheet, baked, and then had the skeleton created and rigged.
