Still Very Early in Pre-Production, Project Morningstar is slowly getting its first art pass for the prototype we plan to pitch to a publisher later on in 2020.
I'm tackling first the Environment and Characters, where players will be spending most of their playhours, then the World Map, where they will be choosing the next Local Map to drop down into.
Doing this has helped me gauge the workload and create an established pipeline, so I can accurately estimate time and costs. It's also establishing a base for the visual quality of the game and its constituent parts.
